is there difference between hardtop and cab skirts?

as i have some m3 skirts and they do not fit my cab. they are about an inch off the wings and quarters (about the same distance away as the extra strengthening in the sills of the cabs)

any info would be great

Cabby ones are deeper because the sills have more metal to support the car more because there is no roof.
