Just been sat thinking how this time two weeks ago I had a e30 I could have gotten into a driven to the Nurburgring with ease.
I now have an e30 around 65% stripped and a fair amount of work ahead of me before I can drive it again and I wanted it ready for Sumner! Which hopefully will still be achievable.
I should explain how this happened..
First of all I was feeling a bit down with myself for having not done anything for myself for along time due to work commitments so thought I would fit the nice new adjustable rear beam I have been building up as and when over the last few months.
Whilst doing this I then found two holes in the rear seat area above the tank, to weld these I would need to remove the interior as a minimum if not remove the tank. Once I removed the interior I thought I may as well do the sunroof tray and when that was stripped and ground out I though it would be safer to drop the tank as the holes were near the filler hole and might set the tank alight, now the tank is dropped i'm thinking of removing all the old underseal from the rear end and replacing it with new stuff sorting any rust along the way.
Does it never end.....?
How e30 swallow time....

Sounds like a good plan/resto if you have the skills to just crack on with it, do it and then you know it's sorted for a good few years

To answer your question, no it doesn't end and when it does you have to sell and buy another one that takes you back to start but you never remember how you got back to same stage again.

On completing any projects for me something always comes up and I end up selling (you never get what you put in) and then convince myself that it will be my last E30 but it's never too long before I get the E30 bug and always buy another and my story starts again. a˜Šappletree wrote:This one will never be sold to start again its had far to much spent on it and it will never be wortn what I've put in so far so why stop nowFastroad wrote:To answer your question, no it doesn't end and when it does you have to sell and buy another one that takes you back to start but you never remember how you got back to same stage again.

I hope you never have to sell after spending the time & money. E30's always bring something new to the table & something always needs doing a˜Š
