Got the chance to own a very good original condition Nardi black line wheel with E30 boss, I'm led to believe these were a rare OE option, which is actually a Momo wheel but supplied and branded by BMW and offered as an expensive optional extra.
is the above correct and what would peoples own opinions of value on these be?

I have seen them on E34s and E36s but never an E30 , not from new anyway. They are not exceedingly rare or valuable . I am guessing £75 - £100 on Ebay if it has an E30 type boss fitted. They could also be had with a wooden rim.
PS It's Nardi

thanks for clearing that up, adjustments have been made, just been reading in the wiki and it is listed as on an optional extra for the E30 but it is wiki info so could well be wrong
I purchased it anyway and by your valuation got it for quite a nice price too, will be a nice addition to the touring and replace my poverty spec wheel which has the stitching & leather coming loose
Was after a tech2 wheel tbh but I'm tight and love a bargain

I have one of these knocking about somewhere. Can't remember what I paid for it now but they are quite a good wheel to drive with if you want something different to a tech 2.

yeah sounds quite cheap. I would have thought 80-100 quid or so was more the mark.

I think the one your talking about on evil bay is the one I purchased for just over £50 had a look on a few yank forums and they love this wheel seen some sell for $400+
got it fitted today, is does feel real nice, good chunky wheel with grip bumps on the back and thumb stops makes it really nice to drive with , only down side is due to it having a boss it sticks out a bit further so I keep going for the indicators with my finger tips and missing, but never mind most people think BMW drivers never indicate anyway lol

without meaning to sound rude....... and that means?
are you saying that means its not OE? as far as I'm concerned anything offered by a BMW dealer for an E30 at the time of sale regardless of brand is OE, but perhaps that's just me
looking at it it also lists tech 1 & tech 2 wheels in the accessory section

I have one in my touring, came off a 5 series track car my old man had years ago. No separate boss has an all in one standard fit. Although I never had the center push button and had to make one.
Lovely feeling wheel although mine needs a re-trim.

the boss is part of the wheel by the looks of it but it does stick out more than the other wheel I had, does yours stick out too?

It is closer than the other wheels but I have short arms and long legs so suits me sir. To a tee lol.
Will find a pic, I'm 90% sure it was an e12 that mine came from . Was a very long time ago.

That would have been me that you were bidding against on ebay then for the wheel

. I'm happy with my tech 2 wheel, I just saw it was cheap and thought i'd have a punt at it.

It means it was available as an accessory through BMW dealers as were tech1 and 2 wheels. The only difference is the tech 1 and 2 wheels were standard factory fitment on some E30 models where as the Nardi wheel was not.

At least i didnt have to outbid you by too much
Very purposeful looking weapon you have there, I thought you had an Alpina vent gauge before I looked more closely lol!

Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing, not being a standard fitment wheel makes it uber rare and there for should have a value higher than a tech 2
