Hello All,

I'm trying to connect the wiring from the A/C heater unit in the picture below:

but i don't seem to have the connection on the wiring loom below:

From reading a few posts am i right in saying that not all looms will have this connector? If they don't i think i have 2 options:

1) Change the loom for one which has the connector - is that as hard as i think i might be - or can i only change it up to the C101 connector?
2) Wire it in separately

I would be greatful of any advice.

What engine management system do you have, or what engine ECU type?
Also, what age and model of car?

Apologise Brian - this is the information that i should have put in the first post!

I am retro fitting an A/C system in my car which is a facelift 1991 318i E30 convertible.
I believe the A/C system is from a pre-facelift model (but can't be 100% sure).
below is the engine management system that i have:

Don't understand why your loom doesn't have the plug already, but the connections to the ECU are the purple/grey wire from the aircon. switch goes to pin 41 of the ECU, and the black/grey from the compressor clutch goes to pin 40.
