Hey chaps,

My car lives outside, and after a hard rain the indicators don't work. Every single time it's the fuse.

I have read somewhere (although now I can't find where!) that the indicators can leak and cause a short.

I checked the front bumper indicators and whilst one side was wet, it wasn't too bad. I cleaned them both (by removing the covers in and wiping clean) and then fitted a new fuse, but it blew immediately.

Before I go around the car checking all the lighting and wiring, is there any other places I should check because it's common?

Ta!

Which fuse is blowing? There are two in the indicator circuit.

fuse 4, a 15amp thingy.

Forgot to mention - hazards still work great. Just the stalk doesn't. When I replace the fuse (on a non rainy day!) the indicators work again for a bit, until it rains (or is a cold wet night) again.

I dont have a glove box or glove box light. What colour are the wires, perhaps they are tied up and chafing?
