Do you have a part number for the drip tape?
Also, the security wire. Is that a US thing because i've never seen that on a euro spec car?

The security wire is not specific to the USA, although you would think so considering all crooks we have here.

Absolutely stunning in every way!
How on earth did you convince BMW to remake the dash? Never even seen a full leather one like that in an E30.

This looks stunning
I am very interested to know how you persuaded BMW M to reproduce a whole interior for you which was NLA and even though it took you what 1.5 years .... How did you do it (so other BMW owners can hopefully use same principles to get BMW to reproduce NLA parts for us)

This is a restoration of the highest level possible! Absolutely breathtaking! Better then the day it left the factory.
Credits for persisting on BMW making the interior! Just shows your dedication on the whole build and not excepting anything less that the absolute best!
You have some more pics of the underside for us to jerk off on? What colour did you use for the floor as it looks exactly oem.
Well done again and dont be ashamed to post plenty of pics! Its not your screen that will get dirty

LOL, thanks again guys, I really appreciate the kind words.
The provenance of this car made it easy (?) in deciding to restore it only one way-as close to factory as possible.
(Its interesting to note when I finished, BMW of North America asked me to bring the car to their headquarters to show to their engineers and technicians, both from here and Germany. It was a very humbling experience, I was quite proud they asked me).
I have tons more pictures, and will be happy to post them.
Thanks.

Truly incredible can you tell us more what happened when BMW NA invited you to their HQ.
Which engineers and techs came ? BMW M engineers ?
What questions did they ask ? How long was it for ? Any photographs ?
And how did you persuade BMW to re manufacture NLA parts

Here is a picture of the car at BMW NA headquarters in New Jersey. The former head of BMW M, Larry Koch is at left in shirt sleeves. Engineers and technicians can be seen at the car.

Nice car
It looks like something that is on the production line back in the old days when BMW were making it new, Very impressive you should be proud..
Loving the leather dashboard as well.

How have I missed this thread?!
Probably the best restored e30 I have ever seen, if not one of the best cars.
X Works car was amazing, but your fastidious replication of the original build puts it on another level for me. Well done!
