This is ridiculous. He's clearly stated that he has modified his car in a way that is perfect for his needs and tastes, yet he's being told it's wrong, stupid, all sorts. It's not how I'd do it, but it's not my car so that's completely irrelevant. I also love that people are telling him that he's given into peer pressure, but what is it people are doing here? "We don't care what you want, change it".
It's only a car.

Singh you carry on doing what pleases you, as its plain and clear that you will never please everyone else....

If you went down the 'nut and bolt' original restoration route, spunked thousands upon thousands, no doubt a few on here would grumble why?... "it was the wrong M3 to start with"... "You'll never get your money back"... " should have bought a mint original one in the first place"

No doubt many would appreciate the effort too..... but in the end of the day, its your car so you carry on doing it your way... :D

Just bag it already!!!!! When you have enjoyed the fruits of your labour and decide to go for coilovers at least you can reverse the mods without destroying the car.

:D I reckon you posted this on here to shorten the lives of all the OE homo`s!!!

Good Work Nick

I take it you're going to UD with the SIC guys. Are you joining them at W'see too?

If so, see you in Austria

Side note - "OE Perfectionists" and "dont stray away from factory settings" types seem to be popular on this site, why has your club banner got an E30 M3 running 17" wheels on it?

Really not sure what all the negativity is about, whats the big deal?

I think its a good modification for a road/show car. So what if it doesn't handle (as the geo will change depending on ride heights) its not for that. I would actually welcome a smooth riding suspension setup for our crappy patched up roads.

I can't wait to photograph it!

On a side note
Myself and a few others have see the progress of what Nick has done. He has made an 'OK' M3 into a stunning machine. It's on air, big deal!!

Theres a lot more to this car which is yet to be revealed and I'm sure that'll be another 4/5 pages of controversy.

Express your opinions but no need to be rude and call people "dickheads" etc. for the most part it sounds like a lot of people jealous they dont have an m3. Personally i would not put it on air; but i also dont have an m3 and what's the issue if its reversible?

Also, its an m3 that is clearly being looked after so others can see one that hasnt been abused and f-ed about with; so give the man some credit for buying an icon and enjoying it in his own way.

Peace out to the small-minded 8)
