Wiring Issue

I havent tried to start the engine yet however there may be a problem because on the wiring guide i have it says, pin 17 from e30 to pin 18 e34 which is voltage whilst starting, however there is no wire on my e30 for pin 17 so do i need to supply this pin with power? i have no abs so could use pin 20?

Pin 18 on the E30 loom, not 17 to pin 18 on the M50 loom. Black/yellow wire, and if your car has ever started, I'm sure it's there.

Just rechecked the diagram armed with your info, it appears there is a typo on it, i have also looked at several other diagrams which also said 18 goes to 18, cheers for the helpBrianmoooore wrote:Pin 18 on the E30 loom, not 17 to pin 18 on the M50 loom.
