Hi I was wondering if anyone has an experience with getting their radio repaired. I have an original radio but the lcd is knackered. Its a blaupunkt monaco from memory.
Also is there a company that retrofits ipod connectivity to original radios my dad thought he seen a place in the back of classic car mag but can't find it.

He does iPod connections to classic stereos. I have never used him and not associated but found him friendly after emailing him with a query.

What do you mean when you say the "LCD is knackered"? Just a few segments missing, or bleeding/cracked?
If it's just a few missing segments, you could try cleaning up the rubber (zebra) connecting strip to it, and use isopropyl alcohol (tape head cleaning fluid) to clean the display and PCB contacts:

You could try contacting Blaupunkt's servicing department to see if they have any spare replacements, but I wouldn't hold my breath on a unit of that age.
