It seems like sports get all the coverage and there are quite a few being restored and on sale albeit most are rubbish.

But I prefer the the standard look but they have mostly vanished now.

Does look nice.

Is the front spoiler just an iS addition or was it optional on the 325i? I really like the way it looks (which is why there's one going on mine as soon as I get it back from painting).

It was listed as an option on the realoem pages for my car so I guess you could have ordered it as an option at the time.

You can't beat a face lift 2door, with an IS lip and spoiler in my eyes.

They look great without skirts too. The car in the link above is dreamy..

I agree with blitz I've always preferred an e30 with just the basic little bits like front and rear spoiler from is and se side skirts than a sport anyday

Never been a fan of the Tech 2 kit. Looks very early nineties Max Power-esque to me. Much prefer Tech 1, suits the lines of the E30 much better. Just standard with an iS lip, as some have suggested.

Standard is a fairly loose term when talking e30's. IS lips with bottletops wouldnt really look too good. There is a minimum level of spec where an e30 becomes desirable. 15" bbs are needed to at least get started, then a set of sport springs or eibach etc. For many e30s that is all it takes. SE trim is a bonus but i think with enough spec elsewhere it is not a problem.

I think I've always preferred facelift models - the one in the OP and the one Simon poster are where its at for me - the 15" BBS look better on the facelift cars because of the better rear arch profile.

Never had a kitted car yet and whilst I get the whole Sport thing I prefer the clean look of the cars without really

They do look fantastic, until you see a tech 2 sport and realise they pale in comparison.

I definitely prefer the more "classic car" looking e30s, to the mean looking tech-2s. I just wish my interior didn't look poverty spec, despite being a 325i.

Tech 2 for the more aggressive stance but unkitted (IS & SE bits though) chromie for the classic, clean look 8)

The beauty and appeal of the e30, is that they came in a range of flavours and styles to suit everyone, different ages lifestyles tastes and needs

You could easily have 10 different e30 models in a dream e30 garage, suited for a wide range of uses and styles/moods

All time classic guise

Imagine a garage outside your house with ..

A touring
A henna red 2 door 323i chromie
A 4 door chrome bronzit
A white 325 chromie cab
A 318is facelift
A 325i tech 1
A 2.7 alpina tech 2 style facelift

Or a pre facelift alpina and a 325 tech 2 sport

A hartge 2.7

And an m3, and an alpina m3 turbo
