Just got a quick question regarding a couple of parts quotes I've had this week from BMW. Parts showing as "Backorder (7 days minimum)", are they in stock at HQ or are they a part awaiting a minimum order for a manufacturing run?

I had something similar with N/S indicator lens.
It took months to arrive but if they 7 day minimum it must be coming from Germany.

The Internet - It has proven to be worthless, and is nothing but a repository for perverts.

Iv been informed by my local dealer that there is going to be a big list of parts soon to become NLA I think mostly on preface lift so I'd get an order in for anything that's vital

That sounds ominous
Only one of the bits I'm looking to order that they're saying is back order is prefacelift specific, the others are grille related which I'd have thought would have been in plentiful supply.

Yea, I remember that Rob, thankfully the bits I'm after are just trim bits so not going to be a major issues waiting.capri_rob wrote:They took nearly 12 months to get me a front brack backplate !

I've been waiting for a back panel for my preface lift since November and still counting.
It took 501 days for my back plate to arrive. When it did arrive, the dealer gave it to me FOC because it had taken so long
