recently replaced my throttle body on a 325 cab and noticed the old body was much smaller with the serial number 1716035, cannot find on oem. Are 320 bodies a lot smaller.

cheers ant, will check tomorrow but I reckon that's about right. Why would somenone put a 320 onto a 325? unless it's not really a 2.5.

Why indeed. From all the posts I've seen about your car, I get the feeling it had been stripped, but someone made the decision to reassemble it and sell it, but some of the parts weren't quite the right parts or fitted as well as they should have been.

Brian, I agree 100%, I am nearly at the stage of getting rid myself, cut my loses and let someone who knows what they are doing sort it out.

IIRC, you bought it cheap enough for a cab, and the things that really matter like rust and general body /trim condition are OK, so you just have to stick with it and go through it from end to end, sorting all these niggling little things.

You'll be pretty much an E30 expert by the time you finish. Nothing like hands on experience.

Too true, even after only 3 months I feel a lot more confident with the car. Plus it's nice knowing that there is this huge resource here. I couldn't have down half the things I've done without this forum.
