What is everyone doing for fuel pumps?

I think the one in the car is on its way out and I can stick a new £90 ECP one in there.

However it is just an intank pump, so is there anything better/more modern/cheaper and just as good?

I know cosworth ones are very similar and I have one kicking about but would rather hang onto that so there must be others about.

Some of the early cars have external pumps, similar to the 6 series set up of the time.

All this 'upgrade' will do on a standard car is put extra load on the fuel pressure regulator.

Yes, however given HairyScreeches engine development work I doubt his car is standard.
