hi peeps, long time since last been on line due to car eatting funds but pay rise helped out, anyway i need to sort out my steering rack doany of you chaps know how easy it is to overhaul a 325 se power rack.had a quick look on the teck pages,adams streering rack mod looks bloody (good nice one mate) :thumb: so if adam or anyone else know please let me know cheers chaps

Hi mate, just got your PM.

I don't think it's really common practice to overhaul a rack. Best off getting one from a breaker car. Have a look in the for sale section and contact some of the guys breaking cars, I'm sure you can pick a rack up cheap. I sold one on ebay for Ԛ£15

Unless you have "special" tools you can't overhaul the rack,niether of my local BMW dealers even do it,they farm the work out to local specialists.
