Hi everyone
I have a 325i cabby that I recently purchases brand new. Bilstein B12 kit and rougue engineering top mounts.
I'm very happy with the rear height of the car but wouldn't mind the front to sit slightly lower.
Would anyone recommend anything. I hve seen H&R do some slightly lower but don't want the rear to to drop further.
Many thanks

Would I be able to leave my current Eibach 30mm on the rear and put the H&R on the front, or would people avoid that.
I would be nice to be able to sell a set of springs though so I haven't got a miss matched set in my garage that I wouldn't really be able to sell

I'm sure there's a top mount you can take from a different BMW that fits and allows a slightly lower ride height. That way you wouldn't have to worry about different springs up front.
Do a little search on here.
Either that or someone will come along with more information soon enough..

I think to make the car lower at the front you can use an E90 top mount

It's not the top mount, it's the upper spring cup, its deeper so the spring sits up a little higher.
cheers,

The top hat? I wasn't sure if they were the same thing.

Hmmm will have to try and research this. I don't want to be changing the suspension really as the Bilsteins are brilliant so not really sure what to do. If it sat 20mm lower on the front it would be perfect

yes, you can use an e90 top hat on an e30. I believe it will drop you an additional 15mm.
Or you could remove the spring perch pads for about 4-5mm.

You sure you dont have to drill new holes for the E90 top mounts ?

Just a thought, the e90 top hats might not work with aftermarket top mounts as they need the depth of the standard mount to sit inside the perch

The Rogue Engineering mounts are for the rear.

I seem to remember Kedge either knowing about it or puting them on one of his E30's. Might be worth sending a PM his way.Fiddy wrote:Anyone have any more info on this l.
