Just fitting the e34 sump to my m52 ready for the conversion and just want to know weather I leave the bolted on baffle plate which is on the engine or take it off? As there is no baffle plate in the e34 sump it's fits fine but just interested to know what others have done cheers

Yes leave the steel plate on the underside of the block, just cut the support legs off for the E36 oil pickup.

Just answered another question, at least this keeps me busy when the TV is on. Thanks.

Would you replace the e34 oil level unit in the bottom of the sump fixes with 3 6mm studs or just blank it off?

If you have no use for the level sender there is a specific plate available from the dealer for about £4 that replaces it, at the very least I would fit a new O ring as they are often rock hard and ready to leak if not already

For the oil level sensor, not unless you asked for it, I would have asked if you wanted it or not, I cant remember now, its been a while...
