Hi trying to sort the central locking on the O/S/R door
is trying to work just not very well so its got to come out for cleen up or replacement.
Questions is do I remove the whole door catch assembly or just the solinoid (with a dumpy screwdriver)?
Also is it main dealers for a replacement?
Thanks Broadie

The solenoids usually work or they dont
If the rods/mech is stiff this wont help - try dousing all the moving bits in oil and see if that frees things up a bit
Plenty of servicable used solenoids about for next to nothing if it is knackered

Thanks Rob.
Just had a mess around I'm starting to think its the plug.
I'll have a play tomorrow as I hate gagging holding a torch in my mouth.

Cheers Slideout
Have you got a photo of the plug so I don't wreck mine trying to remove it, as its easy to see how it should be removed once the pieces are in my hand broken
Thanks Broadie

What do you want for the solenoid?
Cleaned mine up along with the catch and repaired some wires but it only works 90% of the time which is a pain with the little ones.

Yeah bet that's fun when its raining too! Ok, I guess £10 posted sounds fair, il send a section of loom (cut so would need to solder or crimp) with the plug too to cover all bases regarding solenoid issues. PM details and go from there?
