Due to how I've got my seat mounted I can't see the indicator warning lamps on the dash display because the steering wheel is in the way, and also due to the fact I have an aftermarket steering wheel that doesn't cancel the indicator stalk, I was wondering how I would go about wiring up an extra warning lamp that is in my line of sight, so I can see when my indicators are on?
Anyone done this before?

There's already an extra indicators warning light on the cluster, in the strip at the bottom, to the left of the SI display. It's intended for trailer indicators.
To use it, you'd need to fit a bulb (same as headlamp leveler knob illumination or ABS lamp, IIRC), connect one wire from it to earth, and connect diodes (1N4001) from the live side of the existing indicator lamp holders to the other wire from your new warning lamp, cathodes (band) to the new bulb.

That sounds ideal, thank you Brian. I'll have a look and see if I can figure out how to get it wired up, if I get stuck I know a good local auto electricianBrianmoooore wrote:There's already an extra indicators warning light on the cluster, in the strip at the bottom, to the left of the SI display. Yep, if someone quicker comes up behind, or when pulling into the pits. I don't race, I only do trackdays and them's the rules!
