not really to technical.. i'm having trouble dropping the rear subframe, removed the trailing arms so its just the subframe left, removed the bolts and the cups that bolt to the sills but cannot get the bloody thing to budge.
is there any trick to it or is it just a brute force and patience job.
removed one previously from a donor car which I seem to remember was a coont..
Almost brought the shell down on me last night and don't really fancy dying over a rusty subframe haha
if not I might even cut it up to remove it
cheers
rear subframe

What about the bolts that run from the car through the subframe bushes, I believe these can seize together, have you hit the bolts into the car?

The ones with the splined heads? yes knocked them through and took them out, I posted this because I remember the bushes have the aluminium blocks running through them and it looks like theres some sort of flange on the chassis they locate into but can't really tell as its all been undersealed

they will just be stuck if youve undone the main bolt and the cup bolts thats all thats holding it it will have to be abit of brute force to get it out its them ali bits in the middle that will be holding it

wd40 the aluminium pieces, from the top won't hurt, but also underneath above the steel rim (looks like a hat )
then stick suitably sized bar or the old bolt up into the bush from below and wiggle it - helped get mine of a few weeks back
