For 2k, I would be suprised if it was a 'good'un' but hopefully a couple of grand spent wisely will have it at least as good as the usual 4k poobox![]()
Anxiously waiting for rust and bodge pics !
What does a 'SPORT' model actually offer above an 'SE'?

Don't let pete wind you up; he's very blunt with his opinions, but they are backed up with decades of knowledge and experience. 95% of the "Sports" out there, even the ones selling for £4/£5k, are tarted up shitters clinging on to their MOTs as they leave a trail of rusty dandruff behind them. Again, it's people thinking that some 325i's are somehow worth thousands of pounds more if they have a shagged-out diff and a 320i gearbox.
But if Topblag says that shell is solid, then I'd take his word for it and snap it up, then factor in at least a grand for new wheels and tyres, and the other finishing bits to make it roadworthy. There really are not many good Sports left out there, and the owners of the proven good ones will not sell them cheaply.

Well, on that basis, I think I have done ok...leaves me with a sufficient margin...and, to be honest, it was much better in the flesh than the photos....and better than i expected,...so, I am happy!dusty23 wrote:Nowadays 6-8K will get you something nice I would imagine 5 if you were very lucky, or even cheaper if you are super lucky like the guy on here with the very low milage sport.

Looks like a good car, has a history having previously been owned and worked on by a great zoner, and now being sold by another decent one. Look forward to the updates on it getting put back together.
