Air Filters...Standard or upgrade?

Got a standard air filter on mine but looking at either Pipercross or K&N upgrade, any thoughts or leave well alone? Or other makes? Opinions please:)

Leave it be. The $$$ BMW spent researching their filter will be far superior than some generic bolt-on bullshit.

That will be a Pipercross or K&N DOWNgrade.
