Hi does anyone know what is the best servo setup to run with an s50 3.0 conversion? Is the golf/Clio the best or is it better to mount it behind the glove box or use a remote servo off an e12 ? Thanks

Clio servo. If you move the servo over towards the nearside wing you may even get it fitted without having to mod the inlet plenum too much (you will need a longer brake from an E34 to run from the pedal, along the bulkhead to the servo).

Okay so is it not a good idea to run it inside the car?

I know a few people who run Clio servos inside for V8 conversions, but there's no need with an S50 conversion. Fabricating a mount that securely holds the servo isn't too easy, it is certainly easier to leave the servo in the engine bay and move it over slightly.
Plus if its a road car, you lose the glovebox.

ive used the clio servo and moved it over 50mm and i have not needed to cut the plenum it has lots of room now, instead of using the e34 brake bar i fabricated an extension piece out of 2 of the threaded ends joined together to make 1 longer end which screws onto the threaded bar

You only need the 750i master cylinder (or other 25mm master cylinder) if you're using brake calipers with larger pistons than the standard E30 calipers. I used the shorter Audi 25mm master cylinder for clearance to the inlet elbow (my conversion was done long before the idea of moving the servo was thought of) but mine is running M3 brakes, and even then the 25mm m/c is a bit much.
I did drive it for a few months with the standard 325i brakes and 25mm m/c and the brakes were not good.
