Also I've compared this e30s to other but I've yet to find one with the exact lack off service history which I'm sure matters to the value
So as you can see I did myself a favour already

No pics means it's worth scrap value. Can't assess the condition of the metal and paintwork, and that's really what sets the value of these cars.
As to what it's worth in five years time; I'll tell you if you tell me next week's lottery numbers.

£250?? In fiver years, it will depend on the price per ton of iron.

In the current market (OK , in spring) a car of that spec in EXCELLENT condition may make £3500 to the right person. Unfortunately most are £1200 pigs needing 5k + to make them a 3.5k car

Rule #1: Don't ever buy an E30 with the aim of making a profit.

There is no profit in refurbing them. The cost outweighs the value in the end unless corners are cut.Blackacerim wrote:The thing is guys im looking to get this vehicle to this standard but i want to know cost wise if it is finacially sensible. so if the paint was in excellent condition. Sounds like it's worth £1,400 £1,700 quid mate, that is if the thing isn't rotten through. Get some pics up.
E30s aren't the rapid appreciating classic everyone wants them to be or thinks they are. What commands strong money is low miles, low owners, no rust or rot and total originality. There is no money to be made in restoring them... breaking them on the other hand...

I bought a 325i cab 3 years ago for what I thought was a cracking deal! 100k on the clock, comprehensive service history...
So far I have spent about £5k on it including a respray and I would say that I still have another half of that to go to have the car the way I want it. Once done if I sold it I would probably try for £3.5k realistically.
Hopefully that helps a little
