Any interest in having a forum signature pic made?
Moderator: martauto
I've just had a mate make up this cool signature picture for me and I suggested that he might want to make a bit of a sideline out of it. He is looking for £10 for something similar to mine. Any interest?
Mods, if this is in anyway breaking any rules with regards to selling I appologise, let me know if this is ok please.

for this to have even a chance of making the guy some decent money you need to expand your horizons way past E30 zone and even beyond cars.
You or him need to get registered for many many forums covering all manner of topics and you just may make some money out of it

He's not looking to make a fortune or even a career out of it, just enough for some beer tokens or perhaps put a few quid to Help for Heros. I saw it more as an opertunity to let some zone members have a nice sig but I couldn't have him doing it for nothing. I'm so chuffed with mine. I'm going to ask on the other forums I use bmw5forum and ABZbmw, he already does them for a couple of Jap car forums that he uses.

Jimf,
Your signature is great - but annoying on two levels - 1, it's animated and 2, it looks better than mine.
The 3rd factor to consider is we are all tight coonts on the zone.

Yes, I think, especially if you've posted several time on a long thread..

That's my opinion - many will come along and disagree..

It will be safer for Verde to look at, considering his past problems.

Some people just are not as computer savvy as you, I personally wouldn't know where to start but if it really is that easy then I agree £10 seems quite cheeky. Perhaps someone couldn't do a 'how to' post so we can all have a go?

Well what I'm saying is there are probably plenty of computer savvy people on here who for other members would knock up a gif with a few pics for free as a token gesture and don't see why a real computer savvy member would want to scam fellow members £10 for a minutes work, ie - zone spirit, what's the world comming to where people trying to make money via knocking up forum signatures !
If anyone wants to make one real easy - just google "gif creator" or forum signature creator , and look around there are loads of free quick easy websites you can play around with and upload your own images, its easy

polsta, you are exaggerating (as usual) - that's not "a minute's work" at all. Sure, it might be easy for someone who knows their way around Photoshop, but it would still take time to do all the fiddly little details.
But it would do my head in if every forum sig was that big, and animated. And it makes using the Zone on a phone a real ball-ache.

Jimf, hold your hand up to the screen. Look at how much space your single sentence took. Now look at your sig pic in comparison.
When you get a whole thread full of sigs like yours, you spend more time scrolling than you do reading. But for grumpy coonts like me, it's only a matter of "right-click > Adblock: block image" to set things right

I was always described as "cute" by my geography teacher. He's in prison now.

hi, im the guy that made the sig. didnt want it to be a problem. all i was asked was to make a sig that faded into a different picture, and max size being 600x150 px. so thats what i did.
im no wizard on photoshop but can work my way around it and took me about 30 min to whip it up and put it together into a GIF
if there is a free web program that makes these then maybe share it for others to use??? ive never seen one and would save me a lot of time on photoshop!
i was then asked if i would make others for a bit of money for charity or something, im all for charity and said why not. never mentioned a price or anything but im not going to make these in my spare time for nothing
was only doing as asked.. and after seeing it now they are bigger on your forum than on mine so your right smaller would be better. but i have seen other around the same size on here?
