I have nearly completed a manual conversion, following a couple of good DIY guides but my e30 had the sport switch auto and my wiring is different. I have pulled the lead with the round socket and the large plug back to under the glove box. I think i need to now bypass the neutral saftey relay and make sure my reverse lights work. Any help please....

Reverse light: The manual loom should have come attached to the large rubber grommet that your gear lever comes through where it enters the cabin. The two pin plug it connects to (originally connected by a short adapter loom to your auto gear selector) should now be lying unused near the base of the gear lever inside the car.
Starter inhibitor: There is a loom which runs across the car behind/above the glovebox. Near the RH side of the glovebox section there will be two single pole plug and sockets, each with a medium thickness black/yellow and black wire going to them. Pull both these plug and sockets apart, and then plug the halves with the black/yellows together. The two now unused black wires can be removed, along with the relay that they connect to, and the other wires from that relay, which head towards the old auto selector switch.

Brian you are the man!!! THANK YOU! amazing how many threads are out there that mention this topic without giving the answer.
it took me a while find it, the two plugs were bound together with a thick strand of other cables.
Hey is it easy to delete the auto trans loom? that ECU under the dash is for the trans also?

Auto transmission ECU is in the boot! If it's the ECU behind the LH side of the glovebox that you've found, it's for the ABS brakes.
