Bmw e30 wipers

Have a bmw e30 and when i put the wiper stick down the wipers are not continuous and stop then the stick goes back up what solution do i have to fix this so the wipers keep running till i put the stick back up

This sounds like your wiper motor needs either taking apart cleaning and regressing or get a good working replacement. Symptoms are usually the wipers not not parking when the stalk is pushed down or not parking when on interval wipe.

Seriously are you for real???? If so when my wipers packed up I just had a traffic light squeegee merchant ride on the bonnet (held down with duct tape) and instead of using the wiper control stalk just yelled commands through the window - got through three MOT's like that.........

Pressing the stick down is to give one wipe of the screen.

Press it up one and it will run in intermittent (every few seconds)
Press it up another notch and it will run continuously at normal speed.
Press it up another notch and it will run continuous at high speed.

Pull it towards you and it will wash the screen.


Have you discovered that twisting the knob which turns the headlights on adjusts the brightness of the dashboard lights?
