Yes it's only done 50k but virtually no mention of history.

£19k? I'm sure I've seen RHD ones of these? Deep Pockets needed.

Its mentioned in add right at the bottom
HISTORY FILE
The Alpina C1 has recently been imported to the UK, a fresh V5 and MOT certificate can be found in the history file along with the original document holder containing a fully stamped service booklet and owner's manuals.
Did alpina actually only produce 35 c1 2.3's ? and those repeaters on front of wings must be a first

Also has a Hartge rear valence.
These f ucking jokers really haven't got a clue have they?!
We had a guy trailer down his '99 S50 Z3M roaster down for an SOR inspection with a view to us selling it.
It was a 4 owner car with 36k and he had already spoken to 4Star and over the phone, without viewing it they said they could sell it at £13995!
When i inspected it i found it needed rear pads and discs, a new front caliper, rear axle bushes and rear top mounts plus it has been painted in a few places not very well plus a few other minor cosmetic issues. Was also rocking a set of toyos!
It was going to need a couple of grand spent to get it up to scratch but to cap it off, it had been "home serviced" by the owner and had never had valve clearances done.
That was the final nail in the coffin and we turned it down.
That was a £10k car at best with the mechanicals sorted!

How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

I've seen those repeaters on Japanese cars. They are rhd though. If it is from Japan then it probably has a short back and sides.
4star are funny. I must say though that if you're selling then they are pushing prices up so perhaps not a bad thing.....he who dares Rodney If you're buying though this is not so great. I can't see me ever butting an overpriced car from those guys but if I had a similar c1 worth 5k. ...I would now put it up for 7k.

Looks like some retard has taken a retarded MOT testers fail sheet as gospel and grafted some trailer lights on the wings
No doubt they will have been wired in 'professionally' by a 'specialist'

The sad thing is that being pre 4/86 it does not actually need repeaters to be MOT legal.

Wouldn't an 84 Alpina have chunkier stripes if they were specified? With the wider sections solid colour a la E21s. I thought the thin ones were C2 sort of period?

I love reading the bullshit descriptions.
"Young Buckard" !!
It's possibly an okay car, and as such is 7 grand's worth on a good day. But, faint heart never won fair maiden etc etc, and there are plenty of idiots about with lots of money and no clue. That's the market they're aiming for. We've seen some of the tonced up snot that's been sold for silly money.

It was a rotten old pear when it was at Pete's. I can only assume it had a £10'000 body resto in the interim.bss325i wrote:The Henna E24 B9 3.5 they sold!!!Andyboy wrote:We've seen some of the tonced up snot that's been sold for silly money.

That thing in Pete's garden, I remember that! It had those awful chrome arches IIRC.

The chrome arches were structural, something had to be !
I have got some pics somewhere, I will try and dig them up.
The car came to me straight from a 'restoration' at a well regarded bodyshop. The owner did not believe me when I told him what a sorry pig it was , a quick guided tour soon convinced him otherwise.
It went straight from me back to the body shop to be 'fixed' with a Schultz gone I expect and then to 4 star to be served. Within two weeks they had it served for 16k !

Yes, that was it before my customer bought it and had it 'restored' The previous owner was a tight wad peasant who didn't have a clue. Some of the bodges and nastiness I discovered and sorted were epic, even by the standards of the sorry scrap I get involved in !
