I have a LSD which Ive pulled of a breaker
It has a strange tag and ratio which doesn't make sense
Reads out 11 4 0a5046 s
Going from what the previous owner has said It's meant to be from a tech 1
I've not actually checked the turns manualy yet
Usually you would have something like 3.64S on the tag
Wondering if anyone else has had something similar
Lsd Diff tag confusion???

Diffs. that were supplied as replacements had the number of teeth on the pinion gear and on the crown wheel on the tag instead of the ratio. I.E.,to get the ratio, you had to divide the larger number by the smaller.
40/11 = 3.636. I don't know what the rest of the numbers mean, but the 's'on the enf is a good sign.

So round that up to 3.64 and that's the correct ratio for a tech1 sport.Brianmoooore wrote: 40/11 = 3.636.

The other good sign is that it sounds like a factory replacement which means the mileage / health of it will be more attractive to what's on the clocks.
is it Titanic spec condition or all nice and healthy?

ALWAYS check the ratio ! Never solely trust the tag. A lot can happen in 25 years !
