As above really - front seatbelts in my touring have got very lazy recently, to the extent that I pratically have to feed the belts back in a lot of the time.
I've done a bit of searching and have almost concluded that it's easier/best to just replace them...
So just wondering if I'm missing a trick to liven them up - and if I should just replace them, how???
Are they literally a couple of bolts, like most E30 bits???
I'll be replacing my seats any time soon, so I guess that would be a good time to do this!!!
Any advice/info welcome!!!

Think my old man told me once that if you pull all of the seat belt out and then wash it (dry after ofc) they will work as new
didn't try it myself so just a sugjestion

The above can help, but also the retraction parts can fill with fluff and dust over the years, you'll need to remove the belt, then take the cover off the side of the reel.
Don't remove anything else though! Just take the cover off and clean up what you can.

If you remove the belt don't let the belt retract too far into the reel - once they get "full" they are an absolute pig to get the belt to release back out - had a nightmare with my Touring rears
