After much thought I think I am going to shell out the extra cash for a z3 rack!
What Sort of job am I going to be in for as far as connecting it up goes and how much more ball ache will the m50 manifolds be?

More work isn't something that phases me but I don't want to stretch my abilities..

also as far as parts go.. I think the e30 track rod arms and ends fit? or Do I use e36!

I also believe with a bit of heat and brute force I'll be able to use my e30 p/s hoses

But if anyone has done this rack with the m50/m52 any info would be handy!

Sorry to always ask so many questions but its always best to check before diving in and spending money!! Thanks :)

Might as well go for the e46 "purple tag" rack.

I bought lines from DanThe, along with his splined steering joint and manifolds and it was all plug and play.

You can use either e36 or e30 track rod ends.

Z3 rack is VERY overrated IMO, to me the E46 rack drives much better

To responsive for the car? Tbh I'm down with whatever everyone recommends!

So purple tag it is!

as far as manifolds go dan.. do you make them so they bolt up to e30 down pipes? in my case it will be an e30 325i scorpion full system.

Bolt up to a 3 piece system. Mine is bolted up to a Scorpion (and it sounds epic)

I'm afraid I don't and I pulled the inlet manifold off this evening so won't be running again for another week or so, but will get you one next time it's back together. Mine has an m50

No worries!! Is it loud? hoping the two boxes will keep it down a bit as don't want to attract to much attention in a 316i

Yes, to be honest it's probably too loud for a daily driver, it would irritate me.
