Hi, I have extreme difficulty in taking the hood down on my cab. All motors are disconnected as there is a fault on the roof, but even in manual there seems to be too much roof for the area under the horseshoe. I go it to approx 8" of the horseshoe closing, but I didn't force it any further. The roof material was also covering the rear back seat top area?
Any side gents,
Flute.
Another problem with my cab roof.

Make sure the roof material between the structural bars is tucked into the roof and you may see a difference, I don't know anything about electric roofs, except to avoid them at all costs !

The roof material gold into the gaps of the frame. There is an obvious way
- I'll see if I got a pic for you tomorrow. This will definitely help. Is the rear window section going in as flat as possible?

Cheers gents, the rear window is very ridged and this may be contributing to the problem. I didn't relies the material folds into the gaps in the frame, this will/should be the problem I believe.
I will attempt to post some photos soon.

Don't fold the roof, if the temperature drops to being too cold, you'll crack the rear screen. This might be part of your problem?

The tensioning straps are undoubtably foooked as they are on most old cab turds, making stowing the roof resemble trying to fit a parachute into a bucket.

This is very good council, just a little too late on this occasion but I will remember once I have the new window installed.

Thanks Ben.
If you notice, Pete mentions the tensioner straps - mine have had the "crimp" fix.. Despite this, the front still folds the wrong way, so I'm going to have to think of a cunning solution.
When I had the roof replaced, I didn't know anything about these staps - had I done, I would have had them replaced. It's too much of a pain in the butt to do them now.
