Different from the one in Barry's pic. Bolt holes much further apart.

If we find a Merc model with a smaller diameter strut, that may get us closer.

(Matt replied to!) ....I suspect the carriers are cast or even forged steel, not iron - but I could be wrong.

Found the pics, as said how can you remake this caliper carrier?! i don't think you can myself but i may be wrong, note the merc logo in the last pic! The originals didn't have the merc logo on them!

But Simon, do you know for a fact that the brake saddle/bracket is custom?

I doubt very much it is.

I will have a rummage up Jans passage as he has broke loads of Mercs and being even sadder than me, he will still have most of them shelved.
