Engine swap, 318i touring to m42 e36 lump.

Is this a easy swap?this is what I have...

BMW E36 M42 IS Engine. Comes with gearbox, linkage, wiring loom, ecu, key and a 4 branch manifold.

What else will I need?

Thanks, lee.

Check the thread in the M42 section which is more up to date than the wiki unless mr Grrrmachine has updated it recently?

If you are using an E36 unit, forget the old M42 and go for the newer M44 - unless you can find a really nice low mileage M42. It's got 100cc more and has a useful bit of extra torque. You will need the complete engine with loom, ECU and EWS but an M40 sump/oil pick up, M40 engine mounts, flywheel and gearbox.
