Is it possible to find out the build number of my chassis?
I know the build dates of both and I'm not expecting build 001, I'm just curious to know.

Which mundeo ?
LX, ST, Ghia......
Build numbers were only really logged/recorded for special models.
Are you just after which number yours is out of the 2,339,250 (1982/1994) that were produced in total ?

Is it difficult to answer your question ?........Yes.......
I asked "What Car", Why ?....so I could answer your question.....
Cars like M3's, 320is, Alpina's & 333is, for example, are easy to get the info for, but for "run-o-the-mill" cars like yours and mine, then its a little bit harder to find the information that you require.
I have the build date & time (11/04/1990 @ 7:33 am) for mine, but still cant work out which one it is out of the 2 million+ E30's produced....
The starting point would be to work out in which BWM plant your car was put together...

Reaching here, but if it is a B reg then it has to be fairly early (I think Andyboy or BSs325i are the ones to ask) otherwise post up the vin number and let the zone do it's thing

Trojen: You could work it out.
You would need to know the first VIN & last VIN, The EXCAT total number produced and the coding BMW used for the VIS part of the VIN number.....
