Well the day has finally arrived when I have had to retire my motor from daily driving. 7 years it has served me well but a head gasket failure has made my mind up and it's now retired. Thanks to all those that have kept me on the road during this time, brian mooooore, Danthe and several others who have helped with advice, parts over the years.
I now start the long and expensive road to restoring this rare old mineralblue cab back to it's former glory days then to be used as a weekender.
I'll be popping in for wisely words and parts along the way.
I'm gonna miss driving this every day though, badly.
When I die, bury me in it.

Hmmm, brand new festa 1.25 zetec? I know which I would rather drive, and it certainly isn't the festa, new or not. Over Half my driving years have been spent in 325 e30s, 13 in total.its a love thang!

all of the above was either optional on an E30 or can quite easily be retro fitted.

In regards to the not starting thing, mate of mine has a new Vauxhall Corsa seems to spend more time back at the dealer getting faults fixed than it does on the road and what does he fall back on when its not working? a MK2 VW golf with over 200k on the clock that just keeps going and never let him down once in the 10 years he's owned it besides service related items

I'm in and out of modern cars all day long with my job, give me a classic E30 any day of the week

Think of it this way....
The E30 will feel even sweeter whenever you get the chance to drive it.
