erm yes and no one of the main reasons i chose the chevy is the parts are so cheap them roller rockers where only £120 that water pump was £50 already polished I mean there are more expensive ones out there with a name stamped on them but they all so the same job in the end of the day

£50 sounds like a bargain to me.

yeah I mean you can buy a pump for £200 but I can't see the point in that, all that money for some thing that does the same thing as a £50 one

Quite, as you say, a water pump is a pretty simple device and as long as it's up to the job, there's no point in paying over the odds for one.
In fact, I managed to get a NOS one for free for my Minor - it had been thrown out down at a metal recycling yard. Works a treat!

Roller rockers FTW.
I had a set on a Peter Burgess cylinder head on an MGB GT, which seemed to work pretty well, and they look good too with the anodised finish.

of corse would be better if I went with a roller cam and lifters too but a roller set is like 500-600 pound
and I couldn't find one in the right area of lift and duration that I needed but like you said they do look good

Is that a crack I spy in the right-hand valve seat (pointing in the direction of the spark plug thread) in that last pic of yours?

Not bad, but aren't you worried about grinding the valve guides like that - wouldn't it leave sharp edges that may damage the valve stems?

thank you should be good when it's done
yeah I mean parts are still available to bolt on and mix and match parts but like you said bolt on performance is also a massive thing with these can easily achieve 500 bhp with minimum effort which is what I like about them

well another new part has turned up today quite an important part
as the bell housing is so big there is just about enough room for clearance and no room for a clutch fork etc
so here's where this comes in

quite a bit of kit billet ali too
this is a slip on bearing it just uses a couple of o rings to secure it on the coller of the gearbox and it's a bloody tight fit the rear screws in and out for adjustment so will have to be set up when all put together
here's some with it fitted

you can just about see the adjuster screw on the bottom of this one

also I've got another rear beam of mick that I'm going to reinforce before fitting the new diff etc
first thing is to get it blasted and get some plate
a large case diff that bolts up to our e30 rear beam

also got a push rod length checker as I'm using roller rockers and a non standard cam the push rods will change length
so these adjust to get the correct valve and rocker geometry
