Hi I've got a quick question will a auto transmission from my 88 m20 fit my 90 m40. Cheers Craig

Don't forget that an auto. box has a separate bell housing, so although the complete assembly won't fit, if you're replacing a faulty gearbox with a good one, it might well be possible to swap over the bell housing.
The main gearbox casing is identical.
