Even some production BMW racers keep OEM bushes on the rear, but they do have to run an open diff and can struggle with traction. Lots of advice on here points towards using the original bushes as they aren't expensive on car parts for less. I have powerflex eccentric lollipop bushes on the fronts on the other hand. They are considered a worthwhile upgrade.
Run some searches there's a lot of good advice on this and been done to death
Plus the wiki.

Nasty plastic tat that introduces friction where you don't want friction. Leave them to the Saxo/Corsa brigade.

I've got the full strongflex poly bush kit on mine. Was awesome on the track.
Hardest part was removing the old bushes, expecially subframe bush.

The OEM bushes work nicely on the road with the added bonus that they don't squeak!
E30 Touring 0.35 cD - more slippery than prison soap

Looking at your pic, I'm guessing a firmer rear end isn't actually a bad thingGB69 wrote:I've got the full strongflex poly bush kit on mine. Was awesome on the track.
