well although it's been a little slow as of late but got a few more goodies turn up
new timing gear solid drive so it will be noisy will wine and sound like a supercharger

new bearing set cam bearings

big ends


and mains

rocker arm studs arp again


and a porting set as I'm going to do the heads and manifold

have got some more bits coming too in the next week or so
although I haven't done nothing there is still progress

and I've just this second dropped the engine off at the machine shop for a rebore and to fit the cam bearing as there not really something you can do ya self as you've got to get them dead straight right inside the block with a special tool
so more progress than I thought

I haven't read back over the thread, but are you planning on keeping it E30 trailing arm rear end?

Yes and no mate the rear end is being replaced its being cut out and I'm putting a large case diff in from a e28 m5 with twin ear rear cover my uj drive shafts and custom prop with the swinging arms which are going to be redone as like the dtm racing set up so it's all getting beefed upE30BeemerLad wrote:I haven't read back over the thread, but are you planning on keeping it E30 trailing arm rear end?

im going to start work on the heads tomorrow with my new porting kit im going to mainly just smooth out the casting lines etc in the ports
just doing this on a v8 can gain you up to 15-20 bhp those valves need plenty of air

Yeah, I meant the water pump. Makes a contrast to the usual dull alloy finish you normally get. I suppose you have to pay extra for the polished version?
