What's the general consensus on these turds.

I'm looking to change my company bus soon. I hate my E39 530d in auto flavour due to the poor MPG but live with it because it pulls the caravan.

Is it possible to see 45 mpg out of one of these in manual flavour. This has had a few of the options ticked.

What are the problem areas with these? DPF?

I'm averaging 25,000 miles per year but I need something reliable.

Low 30s around the houses, low 40s on a run. If you drove it like you were towing a caravan but left the caravan at home, you MIGHT see 45.
