this is the issue i have with the breakers at the moment... however it looks like if anything it's bent the other way! i reckon it's actually fine but haven't offered it up to the car. doesn't look like it should be straight though!

i don't know the story before the breaker, though it's a pretty distinctive car so it must me known to someone on here surely?

I think they will have been ok, i saw someone flip a ravaglia at silverstone a few years back, no cage or racing seats. It was a complete write off but he was absolutely fine.

They are strong cars!

Its a shame another one bites the dust. Id say the driver was well shook up after it though. On a side note I have a set of Borbet A's ( Straight ones) if anyone wants them.

oguz3001 has a point - never mind the car (what am i saying?!) what about the poor passenger(s)?? Anyway it looks as if that car has been rolled and not actually hit anything else. That's why the angled edges have grass etc stuck in them. Also the rear looks like it has been hit from below - by crashing down on the ground... anyway just my unqualified opinion.. a sad waste of a car but looks like the driver may have got away with it - i sincerely hope

Ouch, looks like a goodun.

Passenger compartment doesn't look too crumpled, probably a bit of a hard impact though!

Nah, its because the car sucks you in. It makes you drive faster and faster and faster. You start to revel in its abilities. And eventually you reach your limit, or you ask it to do something it doesn't want to.

Perversely, I'd rather see a M3 written off (Occupants not injured) than stored in some bubble for all eternity and never used. As Ive said before I don't hold any emotional attachment to my cars. Thats why invariably it will be unwashed but mechanically sound.

So true! Ive seen to many old old people driving the E46 M3, it makes me wanna  I would so thrash around in one of those! Might be a bit to much power for me though, I know I can drive an E30 M3 because I have drove one lots of times and an E36 M3 LHD.

It's easy to drive an E46 M3 cause of DSC and all the electronics. I drove my dads S4 around haynes museum and so easy to drive at the limit ill email them if you want.

i don't suppose anyone can verify the exact date of manufacture of this ill fated beast can they?

i need a new centre bearing for the prop. this changed in 09/87 from 26112225620 to 26121226723. all i know is that it's a 1987 E reg. that puts it as registered between 08/87 to 07/88. sods law or what! :?

is there anything that can be seen in the pic that might ID it further regarding the manufacturing date (before or after 09/87)
