I've just purchased a set of camber adjusting top mounts and was wondering if they are difficult to put on? Anybody have a thread or DIY guide for camber adjusting top mounts on bmw e30
Thanks

Fronts. Rear top mounts won't change camber.

I know that, but you do come across some people that buy the eBay special rear camber adjusting top mounts.....jmc330i wrote:Fronts. Rear top mounts won't change camber.

There are a piece of p*** to fit, I've got the projectsilver ones from Poland on my 325i.
I'm running coilovers so might make it a little easier, you'll just have to use a set of spring clamps to release the tension on the top mount, pop the top nut off and swap with the adjustable items.
I've set mine to max -ve camber to gain arch clearance, and am taking the car to a tracking guy to set up the camber and tracking as soon as I've found a ride height to settle on

A lot of after market topmounts won't work with normal suspension as the standard top mount is designed to sit partially inside the spring cap. Most spherical bearing mounts are thinner, so the spring cap will hit the mount.
