Strange one. Bulb looks fine in the rear driver side cluster. Only the front driver side indicator works the other two on the driver side stopped. Any ideas where to look? :S

I suspect you have two separate faults. Is it possible you only noticed the failed repeater when the rear failed?
Front and rear indicators are hard wired together, apart from the plugs right at the lights, so concentrate on from the rear light socket. There are three kinds of rear cluster bulb assembly fitted to facelift E30s, with the one that looks like the 'best quality' being the least reliable.
The one with fully exposed bits of round bare wire is the most reliable.
The repeater uses a capless bulb, and can fail if the wires on the base aren't positioned correctly when the bulb is fitted.

Cheers again.i assumed that the flashing quickly of indicators was due to any of the lights not working. As it happens some inspection and re seating of the wiring plugs nearside in the boot, where I spliced into for my high level brake light, has 'fixed' the rear indicator. The side repeater as you say the bulb wires look a mess so will straight en them or fit a new one but job's looking simpler than I thought!
Thanks.
Thanks.
