Just won a 316 on ebay

Apparently it will start but the revs then die and it stops. And it could need a repair to the fuel pump is the sellers diagnosis.

Sounds like fuel pump relay to me? any other ideas?

Just jump the FP relay connectors then with some wire, to see if that makes the pump run

the wiki has the guide for the pins

If it's a 316, then it'll have a mechanical pump. Sounds like the carb is at the end of its life.

I guess mine needs a good blast down the road as well.

Other than that, is it in good nick?

I haven't had to opportunity to fully assess the extent of the work mine needs, but I did receive some welding gear for Christmas that will definitely be put to good use. hehe
