Can anyone tell me how to remove the plastic trim beside the bottom edge of the door that holds the carpet in place?

I can slide it a little back and forwards but it doesnt come away.

Thanks

Get a lever underneath it and prize I up. I use plastic trim removal levers instead of screwdrivers as there's less chance of splitting it. There are a number of white clips which hold it on, which slide into the strip and fit into slots on the chassis.

Remove speaker cover, slide the trim forwards until the rearmost clip is exposed, lift the trim up at that end, so that the trim slides over the top of the clip as you slide it backwards and off.
To refit it, remove all the white plastic clips from the sill, refit them into the trim, and push down into place.
If you intend to make a habit of removing these trims, cut away the groove that the clips sit in 35mm forward of each clip, and it will pop off just by sliding it this amount.

you can slide it enough to de- rail it from the white plastic clips. Once you get it off the front it gives you more play to remove the rear one.

Thank Brian. I can only push it forwards by about 15mm before it jams, am I doing something wrong?

If there's nothing stopping it, such as the front end digging into the carpet, hold a piece of wood against the back end, and give it a bit of assistance by tapping the wood with a hammer.
Trying to lever the whole trim up and off, pulling the white clips out of their holes will almost always result in the trim being damaged.

Those clips are soooo strong, I broke one of the covers whilst trying to remove.

You will, if you try to lever it off.

Got mine off today without damage, I just needed to use a steel ruler between the plastic trim and the carpet to stop it digging in at the front.
