I think i am going to go for it with mine now i have to give up on my bikes
.Going to keep the suspension how it is at the moment so going to start on the engine First i think it will be a zone bbtb to go with the chip but is it better to go for a good panel filter or a cone(I do like that noise used piperX in the past) as for the pipe i like the Lemans Scorpion exhaust. Is it right as i have 2 piece system i need a link pipe to go with the box.Lastly a nice 3.64lsd to replace my 3.91 open i will be a happy boy if i can get all this
So any help and advise would be great as i have heard lot's off different things from the searchs i have done.Plus the cheapest place to buy from i ask this as i do not want to get ripped off again(No Names but a chipping guy in the uk 'Big hint there' who still has not refunded me my money for 2 duff chips).
Thanks forum Saviours

diffs are always "on the list" so keep ya eyes peeled dude and watchthat sale sec like a hawk
probbably didnԚ´t help that much, but anyway

Steer clear of cone filters unless you like all the torque moved up the rev range, i tried several in the persuit of power and found the car much quicker with the stock airbox.

Hi Wez
We've got a choice here at www.undergroundstyling.com for you filter wise.
We can do you a green panel filter, if you want to follow the advice given, or if you want to try a cone filter (remember to order the adaptor) A carbon fibre effect heat shielded or chrome effect heat shielded Race X, I had one of these on my E36 M50 engine and it does the business, or a Green Air induction kit.
info@undergroundstyling.com for more information and prices, or you can order securely online at www.undergroundstyling.com.

Hi I've got an LSD for sale. Do you know where I will find the numbers on it to tell me what the ratio is? I'll nip out and have a look in a minute. It's
just a bit chilly with 6" of snow on the ground

Can be good or bad, they are all independant francises I think.
I had a good experience with my CRX, so did my mate with a Civic.
After three months of having this backbox on my Beemer, two of the four bolts have come off and it's rattling like hell.
Gonna take it back and have a moan.
They say they don't guarantee BMW ones cos they run to hot.
Anyway, the fixings are separate and they WILL fix it!!!
Not impressed.

m8 had a powerflow onhis 325 one and it kept blowing manifold to downpipe gasgets
also the brackets kept snapping on the back box
ex has had loads of probs with her mini as well. this was a francise in newport which are closed down nown.
they still operate out of there other tyre exsorts places but according to powerflow his particular company are not aurthorised dealers anymore.
personaly after the rie mtself and a few m8s have had i wouldnt touch powerflow with someone elses car

do the adapors come in difrent sizes?? as i have a ractive heat sheilded carbon cone filter and i dont have the adaptor for it, the only thing is the end of the cone is 3"in diamiter and its supposed to be attached to the 325i airflow meter wich is only 2" squared, so would i have to get the tig welder out or do underground suply them?undergroundstyling wrote:Hi Wez

The Race X RX2002 should fit, if it is the same fitment for the E36 316i/318i AFM. info@undergroundstyling.com - ask Becky and she will make the call to the suppliers. She has a chrome Ractive filter fitted to her E36 currently, but because it is a M50, doesn't need the neck adaptorcraigieeb wrote:do the adapors come in difrent sizes?? as i have a ractive heat sheilded carbon cone filter and i dont have the adaptor for it, the only thing is the end of the cone is 3"in diamiter and its supposed to be attached to the 325i airflow meter wich is only 2" squared, so would i have to get the tig welder out or do underground suply them?undergroundstyling wrote:Hi Wez

go for the quicksilver alpina system, no loss of torque that i have noticed. Car seems a touch better top end too. Ԛ£450 so not really expensive. ( Sebring Ԛ£450 back box!)
Quicksilver 01428 687722
People will back me with the quality sound they give. But the sounds of exhausts are down to personal preference. I mean i like the sound of scorpions but i couldn't live with one for an everyday car, as they are loud.

i take it your scorpion is 3 piece? if they are very similar then i couldn't see why not, as long as where they join is the same see what you think from the pic's

i've got a few more from different angles if you want, plus i'm 100% sure mine and the scorpion are the same bore size pipe aswell

nope the scorpion varies quite a bit
its going back to hayward and scot as the exhust is hangin a bit from the centre.... and it needs to be raised.
the centre is blown out proper, and i may get this repacked while its there.
although i quite like the sound it makes combined with that manifold

hey simon,
have you got any pics of the tips to the alpina exhaust? is that a pukka copy of the alpina exhaust? does it differ much from a standard 325i exhaust?
thanks.
