Looking for aftermarket cams for a non vanos m50, can't say I found anything online apart from the Schrick US m3 ones but its really for the m52. ??

Any suggestions/links would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Thanks Ross, did look at cat cams before but never found that page! I'll have to ring them i think as now I can't find prices or places to order them...

Any Schrick cams successfully fitted to a non vanos m50?

I found the m50b25 non vanos cat cams (257°/250° - 220°/213° - 10.15mm/9.55mm - 1.00mm/0.70mm) to be the best value for money for £600 (VAC Motorsport), is it worth it to have upgraded cams on a 2.5? I enjoy driving very much but never swapped cams before.

I'm thinking the cams and a remap would add a few ponies and would ''finish'' the m50 project nicely, well for a little while at least.

Any upgraded cam driving experience review or advice much appreciated,

Cheers

Waste of money IMO, you could buy an M52B28 for less and have more performance

What are you blabbing on about now Rich?

An m52 on standard cams without deleting VANOS and using an m50 inlet will make about as much power as "race spec cams" in an m50 and be far more drivable on the road.

I enquired to Newman about getting cams made to the cat cam spec above^^^^^, the answer was £1600. Just a thousand pounds more expensive then ordering the real thing which is made to order too, then shipped around the world. :?
