Hey guys,

My nearside / passenger side headlamp isn't working. The dipped beam bulb works, the full beam lamp works, but the main beam doesn't light at all. I've checked the bulb, and checked the wiring but there is no current going to it.

So; is this common and if so what's a likely cause?
If it's not common where does the wiring 'start' so I can add new wires - or - can I just pinch a feed from the offside wiring and use that?

Ta!

All four headlamp bulbs are separately fused, so that's the first thing to check.
LH main beam fuse is #1.

Hi again,

Many thanks - it was a fuse. It wasn't in position 1, though, I think it was 6 or 7 - I just looked until I found a broken one and replaced it.

Anywho - problem solved!

Thanks.

No, problem identified. What caused the fuse to blow?

If your headlamp fails to light because of a dud fuse in #6 (brake lights) or #7 (horn), then the problem is far from solved!
