Yes I have, which is why I agreed with the recommendation. (was not my current car). Quality is very good, they can come to you and fit it (double check this) and as I said before you probably won't find better value for money.

Nice one guys Much appreciated info there!!

I used to work for an Mazda Mx-5 specialist so fitting a hood isn't too much of a big job for me..i think ill look into a "supply only" price if they do it!

Hi Cypriot, that's a good price, but I think for another £100 they would have fitted it for you...I'd be interested to learn how you got on fitting it and what the process is. :)

I've had a look at my library to see if there are any decent shots of the roof. I can only find one, which shows it well enough, and this is from the rear...sorry. The hood is mohair.

Was you original Blue, Di? Black would also work. What colour seats do you have?

Got the guys at car hood to repair my rear screen.

They left a bit of glue and some swarf on the back seat which i had to clean up myself, but the workmanship on the screen itself was VERY good.

Terrible picture, but:

My only criticism of a having a new roof, which hasn't been supplied and fitted by a dealer, is that they are not stitched along the roof bars. This can make it a little difficult if you have an electric roof, as I'm sure this helps with the folding.

if I were having my roof done again, I would also go for new tensioner straps.

You may well need a new metal plate that runs across the front of the hood where it meets the windscreen as the old ones can get bent and broken when removed.
