Mtech or not to Mtech?? That is the question

some of you will have already seen my car in other posts, and the question I have for you lot today is”¦ tech2 skirts?

When I bought my car it was fitted with them along with a non genuine tech2 spoiler.

Now, In an attempt to put the car back to an almost standard appearance from outside (with a few subtle tweaks) I removed the spoiler and removed the skirts to dig for rust, But when I test fitted the new wheels I thought the car would look 10x more original with the skirts off, they curve round and tuck underneath exposing more of the chunky back wheels and I just think it would give the car the original slightly raised appearance..

What do you guys think? the sills are rust free but where the skirts were fitted there is major hole issues and dents to be seen too but it will be worth all the extra graft in my opinion!!

Also what would a genuine set of tech2 skirts be worth to any of you?

They look like standard se skirts. Mtech ones wither extend up the arches a few inches ( tech1 ) or bulk out the sills to meet up with the doorpods on mtech2 kits.

No idea what se skirts are worth, not a lot I wouldn't have thought.

Ah! maybe thats what they are mate, I was told tech2 but have never looked into kits so I don't actually know haha! They were not original to the car So I think I will have them off :)

The car in the shots isn't wearing Tech 2 sides!!!

I like the clean look without a kit and my fave is a full 2dr Tech 2 kit but the choice is yours!

I'm not mad about tech 2 kits... the only E30 I personally like them on is a touring...

Se skirts are quite subtle.

In my opinion.. I like the IS for kit: A splitter on the front, no skirts and a modest spoiler on the boot. This is on a two door, but sure it'll still work on a 4..
